The Call for Papers is now open. Registration will open in late December. However, you may make your hotel reservation at the conference rate now. Select the appropriate link on the right.
As the conference will start one day shy of the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I, we are planning a major focus on the impact of the War on the lives of our ancestors, whether they served in the armed forces of any of the nations involved in the conflict, suffered the impacts of fighting through the heartland of Jewish Eastern Europe, emigrated to another county because of the war and its aftermath, or were otherwise touched by the conflict.
All registrants will be encouraged to share family stories and pictures from the World War One era. These stories and pictures will be compiled into an online volume which will provide a unique resource for genealogists and historians. Please gather your stories and pictures to be ready to upload them once Registration opens in late December.
We invite potential speakers to submit proposals on any relevant topic. However, we have designated some topics as special focus areas and encourage speakers to submit new proposals within them.
For more information about these focus areas and to upload an abstract for your proposed presentation or workshop, please select the Abstract Submission link to the right or within the Speakers Tab above. Proposals must be received by midnight, January 15, 2014 and selected speakers will be notified by March 15, 2014.
Hope to see you in Salt Lake City this coming summer!
Hal Bookbinder, Banai Feldstein and Ken Bravo, Conference Co-Chairs
